December

It is with an excited heart that I share with you, this will be my last month working on this platform. I will be shifting towards teaching more in person classes once again. I’m also very happy to report that I will be working with The Green Door Life a virtual Nutrition Course coaching all things nutrition and potentially teaching some yoga virtually there. I love this community we have built together. I am beyond grateful for so many relationships continued and strengthened here through such a precarious time of life. Let’s have THE BEST December ever in celebration. Stay tuned for where you can find me next. Last class here will be December 29th. No class Christmas Day. Message me with any questions.

All my love always,

Amber

Are blueberries a winter fruit? Does rain energize you or make you tired? Is the holiday energy starting to feel overwhelming? or are you charging forward? All these questions will be coming at you while we work on quieting the mind and connecting to our body and breath. Psoas and hips were the request today.

Ashtavakrasana! and hips!

The request was some shoulder and chest opening.

Question of the day? Guilty free pleasures or time suck? Here's the discussion, if you're choosing your pleasure and it recharges you during a time of year where you are putting a lot of energy out for others, do it!! If you're procrastinating and loosing more energy, stop. On purpose make time for yourself in the day and do something just for you that you love! This is a season of giving and we deserve our own time as well.

November

Jump Throughs! This fun staple of ashtanga yoga has haunted me through my entire relationship with yoga. Do you have to have a perfect proportioned body? Do you have to have extra long arms? Does it really only take a want to and practice? Lets find out!

When I asked how everyone's bodies were feeling this morning, the response was "rested." This class was definitely physically demanding and to a certain degree it felt restorative. Perfect Sunday morning flow.

Pick ups and Jump throughs. These require a ton of wrist and shoulder. As we workshop through some of these technical sequences if you choose to opt out (perfectly reasonable) you can fast forward to skip, child's pose, forward fold or even bridge to open the hips and shoulders after a long work day. Otherwise try to allow the excitement of learning something new flow through you. It's all about practice not perfect. Work on your ability to laugh at yourself!

Today was the sweetest Sunday flow. Full of power and challenge with a great blend of ease. One of my favorites in a while. Enjoy!

Halfway through this month and our jump throughs and pickups are on fire!!!!

If you're feeling this holiday season sneak up on you and it's beginning to feel a little tight in space. Congratulations! You are here, making it to your mat. Showing up to get some of that space back. Sharing some golden light with you guys!

Such a fun class tonight! 30 days practicing pick ups and jump throughs really started to show up tonight.

We had a small technical issue at the beginning of practice but we worked it out.

October

We're ramping up! Schedules are filling up and life feels like it is rushing to the holidays faster than ever along with the close of this year. We're hitting the pause button and taking a moment for ourselves! This class has an extra dose of hips and hamstrings. Happy Sunday. Enjoy!
